These super speshul magic noodles are made of corn and soybeans, and apparantly contain twice the protein and five times the fat of ordinary wheat noodles, helping you feel fuller for longer. One of my absolute favourite comedians of all time, Eliot Chang. All Asian, All American, and yet he doesn’t pepper his show with nothing but cheap Asian jokes, that one may find is the tendency of the “ethnic” comedian. To be fair, there are a few Asian jokes, but that that is not the emphasis of his shows, ala Russel Peters. Genuinely funny and refreshingly original, this guy’s comedy is hold your stomach, double over, die laughing funny. Like seriously, I laughed so hard my back hurt and then I was sad.

I don’t think I can post YouTube clips here (or perhaps I haven’t found out how to yet) but some of my favourite jokes include his Gay Friend material, and his Fetish joke.

So, I have a question… anyone remember back in the day when “Cowabunga Dude!” was the catchphrase associated more with heroes in a half-shell, rather than surfer dudes? If you were a child of the 80’s (woah, showing my age here) you might remember sitting around waiting for the Ninja Turtles on a Friday night to see four turtles wearing nothing but strips of coloured cloth fight the bad guys. It’s amazing how fast bulky turtles can move. It’s a bit weird how out of all animals turtles were chosen to be the ninjas in this cartoon. I mean, why not Ninja Gazelles or Ninja Molerats? HOWEVER, the main intention of this article isn’t to ask random questions about nothing. What I want to know is, did anyone even know there was a girl fifth turtle named Venus??

I didn’t. I didn’t even know about it until a friend of mine was flipping through channels today and told me he saw Venus de Milo in the newish series. Both of us being super nerds went to Wikipedia it at once of course (because if it’s on Wikipedia, it must be true, I fervently believe this) and I suddenly feel very old and out of the cartoon loop. I think, thus, is the whole point of my post! That, and the girl turtle looks like a boy turtle from the neck up. -End!-

Hah! Here’s a little post I’m going to write with Jason in mind!

You know how Japanese girls are obsessed with cuteness, and how Asian girls in general are obsessed with bigger eyes. First, we had stick-on eyelashes, and way too much eyeliner, followed with eyelid surgery, glue and stickers. Then there was that short lived Korean contact lens craze, that turned your irises into one big black solid thing of blackness.

Now, the Japanese have gone one step ahead of that, and have created Anime Eyes! Yay! Extra irises for everyone!

Kangin!! ^^

Music entertainment Giant, SM Entertainment has finally got their musical “Xanadu”, starring two Super Junior members underway!

If any of you are old enough, you might remember Xanadu from the 80’s, the original musical starring Olivia Newton John.

Xanadu is a story about Kira, the muse of music who comes to the human world and falls in love with sexy artist-wannabe Sonny (WELL, if Sonny is a Suju, whooo wouldn’t? :D), and muses him up all skanky like (well, not really, but I gots to keeps this dramatik), while giving him inspiration. Kira creates a roller-skating rink where music, dance and sports can all be enjoyed.

If you thought Nyotaimori (’body sushi’ or the practice of serving sushi on naked women) was weird, wait till you see this feast for the gastronoics! Oh, there’s a male version of Nyotaimori as well called Nantaimori before anyone starts talking about objectification of women. Although, I must admit morality still doesn’t come into play much here either. (Well… I *suppose* if it’s a ridiculously good looking Korean male model with a Rain-esque body, then watcha gonna do right?)

So, as far as I can make out, this practice called “Cannibalism Banquet” is taking body sushi to a whole ‘nother level. Basically, a life size replica of a human body is made and stuffed piñata style with food covered in red sauce, for authentic blood lickingness. Ewk, I hope that doesn’t mean tastingness too… Then it’s wheeled out to you on a hospital operation table.
